QUIET ON SET: CAPTURING FILM SOUND

with Paolo Di Teodoro

DESCRIPTION

Led by professional Audio Recordist Paolo Di Teodoro, this workshop provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to audio recording on film sets. Through practical demonstrations and discussions, participants will learn about the equipment used in film audio production, microphone selection, workflow, and set etiquette. Students will have the opportunity to interact with professional audio gear and observe the process of microphone placement, with the option for volunteers to experience being wired up. The workshop encourages active participation, allowing students to ask questions and explore topics of interest related to the film industry and audio recording. By the end of the session, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the role of sound in filmmaking and the skills required for a career in audio production.
