2024 FILMS FOR YOUTH
FILM FESTIVAL

Taking place at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre and throughout downtown St. Catharines, the Jarico Films for Youth Film Festival is a four day event for DSBN students interested in the art of filmmaking and acting. Over four consecutive days, SHSM students from across Niagara will converge on downtown St. Catharines for workshops led by Film Industry professionals, followed by evening film screenings, galas, engaging panel discussions, and networking events. The culmination of this immersive experience is the exhilarating 72-hour film challenge, where teams from each school compete for awards at the closing night gala and film screening.

But it's more than just a festival; it's a showcase of the incredible talent that exists in Niagara and a platform to teach the next generation of filmmakers. With workshops, banquets, galas, and a wide array of film screenings, the Jarico Films for Youth Film Festival is a chance to inspire, empower, and celebrate the budding filmmakers of our community.
