RUSH 48-Hour Film Challenge

Let's Make Some Movies Together


DESCRIPTION

General Rules - The challenge runs from May 8 to May 11, 2025, in St. Catharines. - Open to all ages and experience levels—teams can consist of any number of members. - Teams must register in advance to participate. The Challenge At the start of the challenge, each team will receive: - A theme for the film - A required prop or line of dialogue to include - Films must be written, shot, and edited within the 48-hour window. The final film must be 4-7 minutes long, including credits. Submission Requirements Films must be submitted by Saturday May 10 at midnight — late entries will not be accepted. Format: .MP4 or .MOV Films must be original and created entirely within the challenge timeframe. Content Guidelines - Keep it PG-13: No excessive violence, nudity, or hate speech. - No copyrighted music or footage—use royalty-free or original content. Judging & Prizes Films will be judged on: - Creativity & originality - Storytelling & execution - Technical quality - Use of the required elements Top films will be screened at the RUSH Youth Film Festival on Sunday May 11. Prizes will be awarded for Best Film, Best Director, Best Acting, Audience Choice, and more!
